Make Yoga Class a Priority in your weekly schedule. Please avoid leaving class early, the energy and flow of the class is disrupted if someone leaves before the class ends. If you feel unwell during class and must leave early, please advise the teacher. The practice of yoga is much more than an exercise program, the benefits of your practice must have a period of silence "Savasana" at the end to integrate the benefits completely through body, mind and spirit. Missed Classes can be made up in any class available during the session. Missed classes must be made up within the current session. If a class is cancelled due to poor weather or road conditions, make-up opportunities will be offered within the current session. Long Weekends + Holidays - classes will be held during long weekend holidays, unless specifically noted. Check the class schedule for details. Arrive Early be respectful to others and yourself by allowing time to settle in and be ready to begin class on time. Classes start promptly, don't be late, the studio door is locked five minutes after the start of class. Parking there is plenty of parking in front of the building, including designated parking for people with disabilities. As a courtesy to the main floor merchants please do not park adjacent to the storefront windows/entrances, park in the middle of the parking lot instead. Body Challenges please inform the teacher prior to class if you are pregnant, have health concerns or have a pre-existing condition, recent injury or surgery. If you are not feeling great, (low energy/headache) as long as you don't feel contagious, come to class anyway. Advise your teacher as to how you are feeling, positions can be modified accordingly and chances are you will feel better afterwards. What to Wear + Bring wear stretchy, comfortable clothing, dress in layers. Yoga is best practiced in bare feet (socks can be worn for reclined poses). Bring a small blanket or beach towel to cover up during the final relaxation and/or meditative components of class. Bring water to drink. Eat Lightly before class and drink plenty of water during/after class - ideally 2 liters of water/day is recommended. Muscle cramping is often a symptom of dehydration, please keep drinking plenty of water. If you experience muscle soreness after class, a hot bath with 3-4 handfuls of Epsom Salts in the water or a hot shower before bed will help. Please keep the yoga studio clear of personal belongings, coats and other clothing can be hung up in the change room; purses/keys can be placed on the empty shelves of the prop cabinet in the yoga studio.
