SooZe Yoga offers four different levels of Hatha Yoga classes plus Tai Chi for Arthritis, Body Blend, Essential Pilates and Tone & Trim. Classes are instructed by fully qualified, professional teachers.

As dedicated Yoga Teachers and Fitness Instructors, our absolute goal is for our classes to be accessible to all...to recognize the unique needs of each individual and to encourage the individual experience of every posture, every movement and every breath.

Sue Williams RYT is an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher and Owner of SooZe Yoga. Sue offers several upbeat class options each week, ranging through four levels of Anusara-Inspired Yoga practice.  Through the application of  precise Universal Principles of Alignment each class offers a playful celebration of the heart, with something for everyone ~ from modified beginner classes  to more challenge for those with previous yoga experience.  

Anusara® is an elegant and powerful Hatha yoga system developed by John Friend in 1997.  Anusara® Yoga unites a joyful expression of the heart with powerful alignment principles to unfold the grace and beauty that resides at our essence. Anusara comes from the ancient Sanskrit which means "Follow your Heart", or "Flowing with Grace". Anusara® Yoga encourages us to lovingly embrace all of ourselves, to see the good in all and to refine, enhance and celebrate the beauty within.  

  

"I began practicing yoga in 1999 as an effective therapy to manage chronic, acute pain from back injury. Since then yoga has become a lifestyle.  After receiving my first Yoga Teacher Certification in 2003, my passion for yoga expanded into a full time teaching practice. The spring of 2007 marked the opening of Oakbank 's premiere yoga studio, SooZe Yoga.  Then In the spring of 2011, I received official designation as an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher.

Continued study and practice of Anusara® Yoga both personally and as a yoga teacher is the realization of my heart's desire.  I have been truly blessed to share this magnificent journey with others.  May every breath become a celebration of who we are!"

 

 

 

Tangi Bell CYT is a Certified, Yoga Teacher.  

Tangi is a student of several classic Hatha Yoga systems including Iyengar Yoga and most recently a graduate of the Anusara® Yoga Teacher Training Program.  Tangi also teaches Body Rolling integrated with yoga asana.  

"I believe everything is energy and the world is a great big yoga mat.  By silencing the mind’s activity through the use of asana, pranayama and meditation, we ultimately connect to our true divine nature.  To me, expressing this beauty in all we do,  is Yoga.  ~ Namaste."  

 

 

 

Body Rolling is comparative to a deep tissue massage using a 7" inflatable ball that helps to strengthen, tone and realign the body. It is a natural compliment to your yoga asana practice allowing you to increase range of motion, release tension, improve core strength, balance, bone density and promote healing.

Gillian Grodzik is a Hatha Yoga Teacher, practicing and studying Anusara® Yoga

Although yoga has been a part of her life for the past decade, Gillian really opened to Grace while backpacking overseas where she truly “found herself”. Since then  everything has fallen into place perfectly and with great ease. It is a blessing to share her love of yoga and to guide others on this path to Self-realization and freedom. 

Gillian's background is in the practice and study of Anusara® Yoga, a Tantric Yoga system founded in 1997 by John Friend and anchored in Winnipeg by Lynn Lakusiak.  Anusara® Yoga is a celebration of the Heart; a way of honoring the Self from the inside out.  Gillian is a recent graduate of the Anusara® Yoga Teacher Training Program. 

 

"We tune in to our intrinsic goodness with the help of our breath to cultivate a strong sense of community as we support one another. Through precise alignment principles we align ourselves in a way to heal our bodies, minds and hearts – connecting with that one big flow of Spirit pulsating throughout the Universe!" Lori Orchard BRS CPT Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach. 

 Lori has over 25 years of  experience in the fitness industry and was named Fitness Leader of the Year for 2004 by the Manitoba Fitness Council.  In addition Lori won a business award in 2002, and was the recipient of the Reh-Fit Centre Healthy Living Award in 2008. 

Lori's passion is making active living and healthy lifestyles achievable for everyone. Lori's motto is "Motion Is Essential" and through her infections energy, Lori demonstrates that achieving a healthy, active lifestyle does not need to be difficult, expensive or time consuming. All that is needed is a commitment and belief that it can be done.

Wanda McFadyen is a STOTT Pilates Instructor in basic and intermediate mat (and mat with props) and Tone & Trim Conditioning. Wanda has also received training in Tai Chi for Arthritis from the Manitoba Arthritis Society. 

Wanda lives an active lifestyle ands has been involved in the fitness industry for a number of years as Certified Fitness Leader in Saskatchewan and co-owner in a fitness studio in the mid-90’s.  

Wanda also served on the Saskatchewan Fitness Leaders Board of Directors, moving into Pilates was a natural progression in rounding out her fitness base. Wanda is a firm believer that being active is a lifestyle that is achievable by everyone - it all begins with a single step.
